Riding up hill requires special techniques and a lot of practice. You need to direct the energy to your legs and to do that, you need to keep you upper body very still. If you are short, sit back in the sadle and conversely if you are tall, lean forward a bit. Allow the bike to move gently from side to side, however avoid radical movements.
Matt Ryan is currently racing in a club environment to give back to the community where he acts as a main member of the MBCC board and offers both training and coaching each week to cyclists in the form of an active ride. Matt also acts as a mentor for up and coming cyclists.
